Most people realise how important it is to eat healthy food that will provide the nutrition needed to help them keep in good health. Some people eat all the wrong kind of foods such as chips, burgers, cream cakes and buns, chocolate and sweets. While the occasional plate of chips, cream cakes and sweets are not harmful, many people always include such foods in their meals everyday and they become very overweight. Being overweight can often lead to major health problems such as heart disease, diabetes or even a stroke. People who are obese may find it difficult to walk very far so have very little exercise which also contributes to poor health. Television programmes have helped by introducing healthy cooking and well known chefs such as Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver have shown people how to cook healthy meals that are inexpensive. It is very important to try and eat at least 5 a day of fruit and vegetables and drink plenty of water, preferbly by using a stainless steel barbeque (Edelstahlgrill). By eating healthily and cutting down on fatty foods most people will loose weight and feel much more energetic.

During the summertime some people like to eat outside and have picnics and barbeques. Anyone who has a gas barbeque (Gas Grill) will be able to cook many healthy and tasty meals that all the family will enjoy. The days of just cooking burgers and sausages have been replaced by people cooking chicken and fish which is far healthier. Sandwiches made for picnics can be made from wholemeal bread with fillings of cottage cheese, chicken, turkey and ham. Salad sandwiches are particularly tasty followed by a low fat yoghurt or fruit. Fresh orange juice, apple juice, or water is far better than fizzy pop and much more refreshing. Children are encouraged at school from an early age to eat healthily and school meals provide plenty of nutrition that is essential for growing children. Children taking a packed lunch to school will be encouraged to take a piece of fruit or yoghurt which is far better than sweets or buns. Healthy eating is very important whatever age and by teaching children to eat healthily maybe many will do so for the rest of their lives.
